BRISTOL, Tenn. (WJHL) — Friendship Automotive held a ribbon-cutting ceremony for their new car tower in Bristol, Tennessee, with aspirations of making it a notable local attraction.
The advanced car tower has been inaugurated at the Friendship Chrysler Jeep Dodge dealership located on West State Street in Bristol.
Mitch Walters, the founder and chairman of Friendship Automotive, informed News Channel 11 that the initiative required over a year to finish and incurred costs "significantly above $3 million."
We had the notion to create something extraordinary to highlight our car dealerships and essentially establish a landmark for Bristol," Walters stated. "These towers can typically be found in bigger urban centers. Hence, I believed it would add excitement having one in our region.
The multi-level setup can accommodate four cars, and Walter intends to feature various intriguing individuals over the course of the year.
We plan to showcase antique cars during the summertime, and in wintertime, we'll introduce our latest range of vehicles for sale including Fords, Jeeps, Chryslers, Rams, and Hyundais among others. Our selection covers every brand you can think of such as Hondas, Nissans, and Volvos. These models will be constantly rotated.
The tower's closeness to the interstate allows for clear visibility, and Walters mentioned that it has even been noticed by airborne travelers.
I've heard from a few individuals who mentioned that when they flew into Tri-Cities Airport, they noticed this car tower. It seems to be turning into a pretty decent landmark.
