Al Pacino racing off to be part of Bobby Moresco's production Maserati: The Brothers .
As per intelligence shared by the production team on Thursday during the event in Cannes, the second and "ultimate stage" of shooting is scheduled to commence in Rome this June, with plans for a fall release. Maserati: The Brothers details the ascent of the Maserati clan and their enduring impact on car manufacturing advancements.
Pacino will play the role of businessman Vincenzo Vaccaro, who is a supporter of Maserati family And an initial backer of the automotive empire. In the biopic, which was produced by Andrea Iervolino , Pacino will be joining newcomer actresses Gina La Piana and Tatiana Luter alongside the previously announced cast featuring Anthony Hopkins, Andy Garcia, Jessica Alba, Michele Morrone, and Salvatore Esposito.
Nicki Cortese and Wayne Marc Godfrey from Bright White Light are jointly financing and serving as executive producers for the project.
Iervolin stated in a release that the ensemble is “delighted” to welcome Pacino to their lineup. “With his unmatched skill and recognizable stature, he adds significant gravity to our depiction of this moving tale. It’s a remarkable privilege for us all to count among our ranks someone so distinguished within the industry.”
Cortese and Godfrey released a joint statement saying, "We feel privileged to be part of the team that will bring this legendary tale to light. We are eagerly anticipating when viewers get to delve into the close examination of the fervor, drive, and tenacity that powered one of Italy’s most renowned car-making families."
